Who we are
Ledgerback is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit research and education organization advancing public knowledge and understanding of ideas at the forefront of research, technology, innovation, and governance (i.e., the frontier) for the common good.
We improve public access to the conceptual knowledge and skills or the knowledge and education needed to build, manage, and use ideas, solutions, and technologies emerging from the frontier to achieve positive outcomes or to achieve outcomes that align technology or technological growth or innovation trajectories with humanity or to achieve outcomes for public benefit or to drive positive change.
We achieve our mission through research, education, ecosystem-building, and tool-building.
As part of its mission, Ledgerback works with practitioners, citizens, scholars, and researchers to inform on the implications of ideas from the frontier for science, society, and industry.
